The neffy® trainer is a reusable device for teaching course participants how to treat an anaphylactic reaction. This is not suitable for use in live situations and contains no medication.
If you are a first aid trainer and have a manikin with nostrils available, you can practie using neffy® by placing the neffy® trainer in the manikin’s nose.
To avoid spreading infection from nose to nose when using the neffy® trainer, you should put the neffy® trainer on the outside of the nose instead of inserting it in the nose.
If the neffy® trainer has been put in a person’s nose, it must be cleaned before putting it in another person’s nose to reduce the chance of spreading infection. It should be wiped with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Allow the alcohol to dry before putting the neffy® trainer in the nose to avoid irritation.
